Yacht Charter in the British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands are considered by many as the yachting capital of the world – which is not bad for a small collection of islands covering a surface area of 59 miles. Lying in the Caribbean, to the east of Puerto Rico, the archipelago consists of 16 inhabited islands and more than 40 smaller, deserted islets. The British Virgin Islands is a British overseas territory and therefore part of the European Union. The main islands are Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke, with most of the population of 22,000 basing themselves on Tortola. The entire archipelago is a yacht charter’s paradise, with crystal clear waters, safe anchorages and deserted coves.
